Senior Business Analyst

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Knowledgeable of new trends in technology and the application to business

Leading and participating in collaboration sessions

Bring forward thinking technology solutions to the table

Perform duties of Business Analyst for highly visible projects

Identifying and documenting technical, business, testing and training requirements to insure quality and on time solution delivery

For Agile / Scrum projects - Write Epics, Features and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria

Work closely with the assigned project managers / scrum masters and business to define the scope of a project

Ensure that the backlog items are appropriately groomed, prioritized and estimated and that the team fully understand what needs to be delivered

Help to define mitigations, resolutions, implementation, and other actions to remove obstacles to quality and supportable solution delivery

Perform testing and validation for the projects. Ultimately own accepting the work from technology side

Facilitating business acceptance of completed transition solution

Required Skills

highly motivated driving individual, self-starter always striving to improve their skill set (with minimal supervision)

Financial Industry experience focusing on all aspects of Asset Management

Familiar with Data Analytics, Quantitative Methods

Creative ability to solve problems or suggest new solutions in unique and Client ways

Ability to write SQL to Query and Extract data

Capability to do detailed technical analysis

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent problem solving abilities

Excellent time management skills Ability to work under pressure while providing timely and accurate analysis of systems

Proven ability to influence and direct people and projects as necessary

Experience in SDLC using both agile/scrum and traditional/waterfall methodologies

Highly motivated and self-directed always striving to improve skill set

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
