Job Description
Systems Administrator
The Systems Administrator, reporting to the Manager of Technical Support and Services, must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with Windows Server and network design, administration, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities Include :
” Troubleshooting a wide range of technical issues from the desktop to the firewall
” Executing scheduled maintenance and administration tasks
” Documenting and testing all work to maintain high level of solution quality
” Protecting client data and adhering to all client regulatory obligations
” Identifying and communicating client requirements to the Director of Operation and Account Manager
” Planning, executing and implementing hardware and software projects
” Willingness to travel locally in NY & NJ
Professional Requirements :
5+ years’ experience as Systems/Network Engineer
Excellent customer service attitude
Ability to operate independently with limited supervision and a strong work ethic
Ability to engage with customers, partners, and colleagues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
24 x 7 availability to respond to emergency situations
Time management and superior problem solving skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to team with others to develop and
implement complex projects.
Industry Certifications preferred
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Technical Requirements:
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot high-level, complex technical problems including multi-vendor network issues
Experience designing networks, including network security
Experience with a broad range of security products such as firewalls, AV, VPNs,
authentication, content filtering, etc. in a variety of network environments
Understanding of networking fundamentals and routing protocols
Proficient in client / server network application deployment, support, and
troubleshooting including storage technologies like NAS devices and SAN configuration
Experience with Active Directory configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Experience with build/administration of Windows Server and Exchange
Server Virtualization experience based on either VMWare or Hyper-V technology
System backup and recovery experience
Experience managing SQL environments is a plus
Experience with collecting business and functional requirements is a plus
