Job Description

Trade Support Specialist

The Trade Support Specialist will help support customers globally in a 24x6 environment to resolve electronic trading production support issues.

The Trade Support Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, troubleshooting electronic trading and connectivity issues across a suite of products with a sense of urgency.

The Trade Support Specialist will also help manage client changes across multi-asset suite of products.

FIX, UNIX and Windows knowledge is a must have.

This is a 2nd Shift role and will require occasional off-hours and holiday coverage.

Description/ Responsibilities:


Provide dedicated phone, chat, and email support to both internal and external customers by answering complex questions on function and usage of all aspects of electronic trading.

Provide a high level of customer support and service to both internal trading desks as well as external clients/customers.

Frequently dealing with issues surrounding the FIX Protocol.

Be part of a dedicated global support team, identifying, replicating and prioritizing client trading issues.

Coordinate with other teams to categorize, prioritize and resolve software application issues dealing with all levels of the electronic trading.

Interact regularly with members of the development team to produce software solutions that address operational needs and requirements.

Resolve technical support issues and problems in the areas of system configurations, functionally and enhancements surrounding trading products/systems.

Serve as primary liaison between customers and the firm.

Assist with client on-boarding tasks.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

2 - 4 years working experience in support of the finance industry, preferably equities.

Previous experiences with support of trading systems and\or FIX order routing desirable.

Proven technical and analytical skills in a mix of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server (2008+), Microsoft SQL (2008+) and UNIX environments.

Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, handles multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and adapt quickly with minimal supervision and a strong sense of urgency.

Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written) as well as interpersonal skills.

Understanding of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) Protocol (desirable)

Understanding of financial markets, trading, and/or asset management industry

Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience

Previous experience with FIX certification or client on-boarding is a plus
