Job Description
Leading Investment Bank is seeking a seasoned Project Manager who is well versed in the Market Risk space.
The Market Risk Department IT team provides support to the Market Risk Department in measuring, analyzing, and reporting the market risk profile of the firm.
The department requires a senior Project Manager to coordinate a portfolio of critical, highly visible projects.
The firm has a large number of projects mandated by the regulatory bodies that are of highest importance to the firm.
This position is being created to ensure that these critical projects are properly managed and executed.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage a portfolio of critical, Market Risk IT projects
Ensure proper project governance is in place
Coordinate client meetings and communication of status
Liaise between the Business and IT teams
Preparation of project plans and walk through of project deliverables
Position Requirements:
Education: BS in Finance or related areas
Must have strong knowledge of Market Risk concepts
Superior project management skills
Significant experience in Project Management of Regulatory projects
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to create robust and professional documents for status tracking and reporting
Ability to confidently make crisp and polished presentations to senior management and regulators
Personable, able to interface with senior management in Business and IT, as well as technical colleagues
Ability to influence and motivate people on your behalf
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
Advanced PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, SQL
Enthusiastic, motivated team player
