Job Description

Operational Vendor Management Representative

Responsibilities:

Provide effective oversight of company's operational vendor management program.

Ensure the first line of defense has sufficient oversight of their third party service providers, in accordance with company's third party risk management program, so company receives the expected value from the vendor engagement and remains compliant to all applicable laws and regulations.

Prepare periodic operational vendor scorecards for business owner and Risk Committee review; validate accuracy of scorecard data provided by vendors.

Responsible for operational vendor data and performance exchange; communicate regulatory changes to default attorney network, at the direction of Default Compliance, Legal or Compliance departments.

Responsible for client and internal/external reporting on operational vendor performance.

Execute a schedule for and facilitate periodic operational vendor business reviews, as defined by monitoring plans, including appropriate company stakeholders.

Facilitate contract renewals in partnership with business owners, Risk and Legal departments to ensure contractual SLAs are in alignment with the needs of the business.

Perform third party invoice reconciliation.

Develop, track and facilitate the review for proposal (RFP) process with the business.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in mortgage banking or mortgage servicing

3 - 5 years' experience managing third party service providers or vendor
management/governance

Experience with contractual service level agreement (SLA) creation

Familiarity with mortgage servicing regulatory laws and guidelines, e.g. Consumer
Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Reg. X, Reg. P, etc.

Understanding of regulatory processes, activities and requirements of a mortgage servicing company

Knowledge of FHA/VA regulations and GSE/PMI servicing requirements a plus

Experience with mortgage servicing system/platform (MSP/Black Knight)

Ability to self-manage a small portfolio of third party relationships
