SENIOR MICROSTRATEGY DEVELOPER/ARCHITECT

The Position

We are hiring a Senior Microstrategy Developer/Architect who will work within our clients' Insight Management reporting team.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and building solutions for one of the applications within this group.

Micro Strategy will be the primary technologies used supplemented by strong technical appreciation of Oracle database and SQL.

The Senior Micro Strategy Developer will apply internal standards for re-use, architecture, testing and general best practices.

This position will also be responsible for Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Code reviews, test case reviews and ensure code developed meets the requirements and Component Design/Coding/Unit testing/Debugging.

Requirements/Additional Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, implementation, management, administration and support of the MicroStrategy reporting environment.

Manage the standardization of existing reporting efforts, including data-gathering processes, implementing stronger data quality standards, tools and training.

Proficient in business intelligence tools, developing and delivering scorecards, dashboards, trend data in partnership with the BI and Enterprise Architects.

Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional data modeling, OLAP, report and dashboard development, data mining, visualization, and data integration/transformation concepts.

Document and deliver clear and concise communications to both technical and business leaders and the client on topics ranging from solution architecture, system performance, risks and issue mitigation strategies, and project status.

Ability to lead facilitated sessions with business and technology executives to select and define actionable metrics, KPIs, and visualization to support their performance management needs.

Work well with others on the team to design and maintain corporate data solutions, meet project milestones, manage client satisfaction and mentor others on the team

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong work history demonstrating expertise in MicroStrategy as well as important aspects of application architecture and development by using BI Technologies, specifically MicroStrategy and Integration with others.

Who can take senior technical role in the development and execution of projects and collaborates with customer architects and senior technology managers to understand existing GTC applications, explore new architectural solutions for future implementation.

Excellent Database skills with of Data Warehousing concepts for BI Reporting.

Must be able to design database schema for report and cube build performance considering
Partition strategies, Archival and summarizations.

Strong SQL skills with the ability to optimize, analyze, and improve database SQL performance.

Experience with customization of reports and dashboards using MicroStrategy SDK is a plus.
