Job Description

Lead Developer

Purpose of Position:

To assist I.S. management with leading and running the day-to-day application design, development, and maintenance of system software.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs software requirements analyses and designs and develops new applications and features when necessary.

Regularly interacts with the development team to facilitate efficient development

of applications.

Regularly interacts with users company-wide to develop a thorough understanding of the users’ business needs.

Mentors and assists more junior software development staff with projects and

assignments as needed.

Defines operational support processes including service level agreements and

communication templates.

Manages support issues for custom application production issues.

Defines and enforces development processes within Team Foundation Server.

Manages assigned projects completely, including:

a. Planning

b. Progress tracking

c. Communication

d. Risk management

Is responsible for all work performed by assigned developers.

Coordinates the development-to-QA process:

Responsible for QA queue and priority of all custom applications development

releases.

b. Responsible for release planning.

c. Designs and implements the QA process as it relates to development.

d. Responsible for reconciliation of all QA issues for custom applications.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Educational / Experiential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science).

Four or more years of professional software development experience.

Four or more years of experience using VB.NET, ASP.NET, C# and with at least

one year experience using AngularJS.

Two or more years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

Strong understanding of relational database theory and philosophy.

Two or more year’s working knowledge of HTML, HTML5 and exposure to

other internet technologies.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Three or more years of experience developing client / server, multi-tier, and/or

browser / server applications.

Positions Supervised:

This person may assist I.S. management with supervising other software developers on a per project basis and/or provide management with input on the overall performance
