Job Description

General Overview

This position is responsible for the acquisition, installation, protection, maintenance and administration of the organization's global network infrastructure and network security.

Specific Duties

• Serves as the Team Lead for all areas involving the network. This includes leading and mentoring the teams both here and Pune India.

• Installs, maintains Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls

• Installs, configures, and maintains network security products

• Troubleshoots all network related problems

• Establishes implements and maintains network policies, procedures and standards are adhered to

• Manages network performance and maintains network security

• Monitors internet and VPN connections for bandwidth problems and outages

• Studies vendor products, evaluates and determines compatibility with Rotary's' systems and objectives

• Serves as a project lead (or project team member) when assigned

• Ensures network resources are current and updated in a timely manner

• Supports internal help desk as needed

Education

• Cisco Certified Network Administrator – CCNA Certification (required)

• CCNP Routing and Switching certification (preferred)

Prior Experience

• Must have 5 years or greater experience in installation and maintenance of predominately Cisco network infrastructure including configuring firewall, routers, and switches (required)

• Working for an organization that required PCI security policies (preferred).

• Previous Team Lead experience is preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• A working knowledge of computer networking hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and load balancers.

• A knowledge network security practices and procedures

• Experience in resolving network problems, supporting internal help desk staff, and project management and research experience

• Microsoft product expertise (Server 2008 or higher, DNS, DHCP, etc.), Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, Riverbed Steelhead WAN Compression knowledge are additionally preferred

• Must understand and possess a functional knowledge of EMC Storage concepts and VMware

• Microsoft Active Directory knowledge is very helpful

• Microsoft Exchange knowledge may be very helpful
