Job Description

QA Automation Engineer

Seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer for a new role with a growing Financial firm.

The QA Automation Engineer will work closely with the QA Lead and will be an integral part of development process, identify automation strategies and developing processes.
Ideally seeking someone with Selenium and a development background. Excellent communication skills are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define and establish automation strategy and processes

Own the design and development of all aspects of automated testing along with creation, execution and maintenance of automated scripts

Coach members of the team on software test and automation best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA in computer science, engineering or related discipline desired

5+ years hands on experience in developing regression and functional test plans, managing defects, and implementing stress/load/volume/automated testing

Strong knowledge of Microsoft test and development technology including Visual Studio, SQL Server and C#

Strong knowledge of Selenium and Python

Proven experience developing automated test systems and scripts outside of simple record and playback

Proven understanding of white box, grey box and black box testing techniques

Experience with source control systems and configuration management

Experience with SQL and full understanding of queries and stored procedures

Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, project management skills are all a must

Experience with performance/load testing

Experience using 3rd party automation tools

Experience using Microsoft TFS ALM system

Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile SDLC

Must have the desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality
