Job Description - Senior Network Engineer
Senior Network Engineer
Client looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join the team in Chicago.
Will b responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of core networking performance and customer cisco portfolio
Responsibilities
Design, implementation, and ongoing support of Customer Edge WAN connectivity, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Gateway AV/AM, Content Filtering, Bandwidth Management, IPS/IDS
Detailed communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, changes, or outages
Ongoing training to maintain industry knowledge and necessary skillsets
Final Escalation Point for Network Related Outages
VOIP QOS, Storage, vSphere Virtual Switches, etc.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
Understand processes in customer support systems by completing assigned training criteria
Work through a daily schedule that has been established through the dispatch process
Requirements
4+ years of experience in a similar networking
CCNA /CCNP Route Switch and Security Certifications
Extensive Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Layer2/3 Switching, Campus Network Design, Cisco
ASA with Firepower, Cisco Meraki MX,MS,MR and other equivalents
Knowledge of Network Monitoring with platforms such as Solar Winds or equal
Nexus experience preferred
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
