Job Description

Our client is an international educational network that supports the growth of children around the world.

They are currently seeking an application support analyst to join their application support team in Teaneck, NJ that is responsible for supporting their proprietary applications

Duties and responsibilities:

Provide application support for technical and/or instructional assistance by phone and email working closely with a development team, a network team and other relevant departments.

Provide the second level support to CMS Basic support staffs in KSNA on difficulty requiring in-depth knowledge of systems and application software.

Perform analysis of application problems and recommend and implement corrective solutions
as needed

Track, administrate databases creation and maintenance records for new/take-over centers.

Log, write detailed descriptions of user needs and program functions (end user manuals) and assists in development of system

Gather and analyze user requirements to define specifications with end user departments

Work with IT developers on the development testing and release of service packs and enhancement for fixing problems, new function and updating materials

Plan and run unit and system tests thoroughly to maintain the quality of products

Develop and update a application system info pack, user guides, training videos and material to provide the assistance on smooth application deployment, update and operations.

Requirements:

Understanding of database (SQL/SQL express) concepts and SDLC

Ability to run SQL queries for troubleshooting issues

Minimum 2 years of experience in Customer, Desktop, Helpdesk, similar IT users and or application support roles in an enterprise environment

Rotating a shift support on weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.

Strong customer service skills, coordination and communication skills

Attention to detail and the ability to quickly and effectively resolve IT issues

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Ability to prioritize workload and other assignments in a good time management

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, be willing to learn and grow

Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical users

Ability to learn or considerable knowledge of policy, procedures, and services of the company, department and team

Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with Instructors and staff

Interest in education and working for the benefit of children

Education and Credentials:

Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Information Systems preferred) and 2-4 years of experiences or equivalent combination of education and experience.
