Software Analyst

$110K-$120K base + bonus
Are you passionate about delivering building robust and scalable systems? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate? We're looking for someone like that to help us:
– analyze business requirements, design and implement solutions, and develop software components as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
– test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems
– support the Software Component Manager in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
– make sure that produced code is secure, stable and operational before handover to the Software Component Manager
– collaborate with other global IT teams
Your team
You'll be working in the Pinpoint GUI team in New York. We develop a Global Internal and External Sales Trading Order Management System with a large user base. We support Cash Equities, Portfolios, Options & Futures in one platform allowing DMA access to algorithms in the major markets around the world. The GUI is built on a C# stack primarily in Winforms with some WPF components.
Your experience and skills
You have:
– large-scale enterprise, object-oriented design experience
– knowledge of distributed computing and low-latency, multithreaded solutions
– strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
– some solid experience developing with WinForms (C#.NET 4.5.2 as minimum)
– experience in building and maintaining rich client GUIs in C#
– experience with TDD practices including experience with mocking
– experience developing in a real-time, high performance, transactional environment
– experience of working with Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server)
You are:
– imaginative and creative with emerging technologies and an ambassador for test- and behavior-driven development
– able to improve older code bases, as well as apply modern best practices to new projects
– curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently
– a Team player with strong interpersonal/communication skills and accountability
– thorough with code reviews, ensuring best coding practices are followed
