Job Description

A prestigious Law Firm in downtown Chicago is seeking a Technology Trainer with excellent customer service skills to join their growing team.

The Technology Trainer will be working directly with the managers and your other team members to help train the new hires of the company.

The Technology Trainer must have excellent communication skills as well as familiarity with public speaking.

Primary responsibilities:

Conduct training classes and seminars for staff and attorneys in Firm-specific programs and commercial computer applications.

Train users at their desks, in a classroom setting or via webinar and video conference.

Manage the training classroom environment, including motivating participants, maintaining focus and adapting training style to meet the needs of participants.

Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of all applications in use by the Firm especially, all necessary applications for staff and attorneys to perform their duties including Microsoft Office, Time and Billing, Email, Operating Systems, special software
installed to meet department needs.

Develop and maintain training outlines and curriculum.

Actively participates (with testing and documentation) in software pre-pilots, pilots and roll-outs.

Troubleshoot and provide end-user support related to software issues. Identify training needs.

Create training schedules, materials and reference guidelines, including visual aids, online learning modules, course handouts, communications and invitations.

Minimum desired qualifications are as follows:

Bachelor's degree.

At least 3+ years of related work experience, with at least 3 years Law Firm experience.

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of desktop productivity software, including PDF and document management software; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).

Macintosh knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge of eLearning software and on-line training tools.

Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly.

Knowledge of e-learning tools helpful.

Note that some travel to our other offices is required to fulfill the duties of the position.
