Lead Network Engineer

St Paul, MN

$115,000 - $125,000 base pay range DOQ

Our long term established tech client is looking for a Lead Network Engineer. They are a mid-sized, global tech company.

This is NOT a "people manager” role.

This is a hands-on technical lead – ability to train and mentor is ideal.

We need the " go to " network engineer in the organization! This is a Cisco shop.

Senior level planning and design of complicated network projects. Ability to design/architect and implement Routing/Switching Protocols utilizing Cisco Routers and Switches

Senior level experience with packet capture and analysis.

Proxy experience.

Senior level understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols. (SPB, RIP, OSPF and BGP)

IP Management / DHCP Relay. (Bonus: Infoblox experience).

Senior level experience with networking products (LAN/WAN equipment, Ixia network taps).
in-depth knowledge of multiple networking functions including routing, switching, Proxy,
QoS, IPv4, firewalls, VPN, wireless, IPS.

Ability to design and implement LAN/WAN technologies including MPLS and QoS
(prioritization for voice and video)

Ability to design/architect and implement Network Security technologies; Access control and VPN using Juniper/Palo Alto/Cisco ASA Firewalls

Understanding of IPT technologies utilizing Cisco Unified Communication (i.e. SIP trunking, multiple cluster configuration, Unified Messaging)
