Job Description

Infinity Consulting Solutions (ICS) is currently seeking a talented Java Developer with one of our clients in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Description:

Proficient in Java J2EE application development skills as well as multiple design techniques

Working proficiency in Java J2EE development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks

Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test

Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security

Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages

Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• 9+ years of strong experience in designing and developing J2EE, REST and Web Services based application. Should be able to analyze privileged access data and build REST services for clients.

• 5+ years of strong Java development experience with client side scripting techniques like Angular, Node JS, etc.

• 5+ years of strong working experience in writing DB queries (MSSQL or Oracle) to develop DAO services.

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related area

• Strong English communication skills

• Architecture and Design skills

• Environments – Linux, Windows

• Databases – MSSQL, Oracle

• Tools – Git, Maven, BitBucket

• Experience in Agile development lifecycle methodology - Scrums, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration

• Strong written & verbal communication

• Ability to multi-task, comfortable with change, ability to operate in an intense environment

• Ability to work to deadlines, results-oriented, flexible, adaptable

• Experience developing and integrating using Web Services (SOAP & REST)

Additional skills will be considered a plus:

• Previous experience in the Banking industry and possibly in Privileged Access Management space.

• Experience or strong understanding of Database and ETL development with wide variety of databases and ETL tools

• Experience or desire to learn emerging technologies in the Big Data space namely Cassandra, Spark, Splunk etc.
