DevOps Engineer

St Paul, MN

Permanent Hire ( or contract-to-hire)

$85,000 - $125,000 base range DOQ

Mid-sized, global tech company is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join and support a "cash cow cloud/SaaS product. This is a highly profitable and growing department that has ample funding and executive backing!

Looking for exposure / passion and/or background in Monitoring and Alerting as well.

solid experience in monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Datadog and/or Grafana

Provisioning tools (Chef/Puppet/Pivotal Cloud Foundry)

Continuous Integration toolsets (Jenkins/Concourse)

CI/CD experience

Source Control Management tools (Git/Github/Mercurial/Bitbucket)

Experience with virtual platforms, i.e., VMware vSphere, Azure, AWS

Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation and management

Ability to support and enhance technologies that include (but not limited to):
Unix/Linux, Microsoft, Oracle, SQL server, MySQL, MongoDB, SSH, web and app technologies (IIS, apache, tomcat, JBoss), VMware, AD and Storage/SAN.
Jira

Scripting (Unix Shell, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, etc.)

responsible for managing, monitoring and deploying highly available, highly scalable applications.

The individual will be responsible for one or more environments/systems and work as a member of the Agile/Scrum team daily for the maintenance, upkeep and integrity of these environments.
