Job Description
An established financial services company in Chicago is looking to grow their current Software Development team.
The Software Developer will be in an Agile environment and creating code based on style guides and coding standards documented by the company.
The Software Developer will be creating software in the financial markets to support the customers.
The Software Developer must be able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment while working closely with supportive team members.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication is a must.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science or equivalent experience.
Strong Java 8 and/or C++ and/or Python on multithreaded systems in a Linux/Unix environment.
Understanding of network protocols.
Understanding the deployment management tools and cloud technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Hadoop, Clojure, FPGA are a huge plus.
Deployment management tools such as Ansible or Chef are a plus.
Cloud technologies such as S3, AWS, and EC2 are a plus.
Prior experience in a financial services or investment banking environment is a must.
