NETWORK SERVICES MANAGER - IMPLEMENTATIONS

Frisco, TX

Direct Hire - Base + Bonus

The Network Services Manager - Implementations is the primary person in charge of overseeing the operations of Global Network Services, primarily through leading and mentoring a group of network engineers.

This position will report to the VP of Global Network Services.

The Network Services Manager - Implementations primary area of responsibility will be the architecture, implementation, and upgrades of network infrastructure and act as a strategic bridge between IT and business projects.

The Network Services Manager - Implementations will provide input to strategic decisions and give input into developing the budget.

What You’ll Do:

System security remediation, change, implementations, and upgrades.

Network system upgrades and replacements.

Business continuity/disaster recovery planning/testing.

After-hours systems support (rotating on-call schedule).

PCI DSS Program adherence, IT standards and best practices, policies and procedures.

Develop the team and work with other departments to achieve common business goals.

Lead internal projects to improve service.

Communicate with suppliers and service providers on behalf of the company.

Conduct team reviews and be responsible for personal and career development of team members.

Select hardware, software, and vendors according to organizational needs and budget.

Ensuring the right environment is in place so that staff are effectively mentored, developed and trained.

Develop and own the processes and procedures used by the team to organize and prioritize workload.

Plan, direct, maintain and coordinate network installation and maintenance.

Select hardware, software, and vendors according to organizational needs and budget.

Lead internal projects and work with Project Management office to architect end-to-end solutions to improve service.

Skills/Experience You’ll Need:

5+ years significant proven experience in a comparable role such as Network
Engineering/Architecture and/or Network Services

3+ years previous extensive experience of building and developing a technical team.

Firewall/Route/Switch architecture experience (primarily Cisco)

Knowledge of computer network and security domains, technologies and protocols, guidelines and best practices.

Managerial, organizational, analytic, and problem solving skills.

Ability to supervise staff in a respectful, support manner.

Knowledge of network performance tuning techniques.

Knowledge of current trends and information sources for managing network systems.

Leadership principles, practices, and methods.

Previous vendor management experience essential.

Exposure to running projects effectively is essential.

Ability to listen, write, and communicate effectively.

Ability to facilitate productive meetings and work successfully in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations.

Able to analyze problems, issues & needs and provide robust but adaptable solutions which meet current and future requirements.

Minimal travel as needed (US and International is necessary).
