This position is going to be a part of a small, tight-knit group within a global organization that is responsible for overhauling the entire Technology stack for the companies trading division. The Manager is looking for a seasoned Developer who has a thorough understanding of front & back end development and can truly call themselves Full Stack. The Manager is looking for someone who can come in and contribute from day 1. This is absolutely NOT a micromanaged group as everyone is given freedom and flexibility to bring their own skills and processes to the office each and every day. There is 1 common goal and as long as everyone is working hard towards that – everyone is happy. The team is a group of 10 and they're adding this contractor as necessary growth. If you're currently in a role you feel you may not be able to fully utilize your development skills, then this is definitely a position to look into. Your responsibilities include: Collaborating on the development of our new products as it enters the market and scales up. Implementing web/mobile interfaces. Working closely with the product team to translate concepts into efficient, maintainable, and joyful products. Working closely with engineers and dev-ops to ensure scalability and performance of products. Creating toolchains to make product development and iteration a breeze. Requirements: You should have: 5-7+ years of experience building user-friendly web applications for a broad range of stake holders. Deep experience with aJava & Angular and strong SQL skills. Passion for good API design. Solid computer science fundamentals (e.g., data structures, algorithms). The ability to maintain and evolve a scalable technical architecture. The ability to operate in a startup environment and maximize limited resources. Self-motivation and enthusiasm for growing a company and brand. A desire to seek out tough challenges. You enjoy finding creative solutions. The ability to communicate technical issues to all team members. The ability to give and receive honest feedback. Experience with React.js/Redux development.
