Job Description
Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will focus on the infrastructure storage and virtualization platform, as well as a role in the Microsoft applications.
Infrastructure Engineer
Mainly responsible for managing, maintaining, and architecting our enterprise storage platforms.
Provide solid skills in virtualization and Microsoft Enterprise applications to maintain inner team backup and balancing.
Design, build, implement, and maintain solutions to support operations using standard technologies and best practices.
Recommend changes to improve system configurations and application health.
Document project tasks and deliver on based on PMO guidelines.
Maintaining system performance and system maintenance.
Learning new technology as it is utilized by the company and keeping informed with
general knowledge of the computer industry.
Providing backup and assistance to the operations team and Technical Support.
Technical coverage on all storage connection architectures
Assist in ongoing DR efforts with storage & virtualization implications RP, RP4VM, SRM.
Provide knowledge in the VMware virtual environment
Education And/or Experience
4+ years of relevant infrastructure engineering experience with progressive responsibilities in designing technology solutions
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Demonstrated experience working on server hardware, enterprise storage, software, networking, and technologies as stated in responsibilities.
Deep knowledge in Enterprise Storage & Virtualization. Ability to maintain, provision enterprise storage on, design, build and upgrade the SAN storage and converged infrastructure.
Strong knowledge in support of MSFT Enterprise applications such as Exchange, Lync, S4B,
SharePoint, SQL, SCCM, WSUS and Office 365.
Experience in MSFT domain infrastructure tools (DHCP, DNS, AD, GPO, etc.)
Knowledge of scripting languages for system automation and administration.
Must be a team player with great customer service skills and the ability to work flexible hours when required.
Exhibit an "always on” mentality to support our business operations and needs.
Experience in infrastructure system upgrades & migrations.
