Application Engineer

Contract to Hire OR Permanent
As an Application Engineer you will be responsible for leading technical design activities and prepare technical specifications for small to large projects, identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues to ensure solutions meet project needs and deliverables.
You will be responsible for assessing, researching and analyzing business and system needs, in addition to exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs that meet the project needs and deliverables.
This includes component reusability, data sharing, security and monitoring.
This person will be developing detailed plans and estimates for the completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of projects.
You will also be assisting in running team that will troubleshoot production issues and coordinate across tech teams ensuring rapid responses during any outages and issues.
Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience
5-10 years in a technical systems analyst, systems engineer or application engineer role
Experience working with various tools including SQL, SSIS, Data Warehousing, .NET, Visual Studio, Java, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, SOAP, REST Web Services
Infrastructure knowledge of
Previous experience working with vendor centric applications
Technical lead experience
Application design experience
Ability to lead and draft technical requirements
Understanding of a technical environment
Integration experience
