Job Description
An up and coming Bitcoin company in the process of entering the U.S. market.
They are looking for a Chief Compliance Officer to manage the firm’s USA’s license application process, to oversee AML and regulatory compliance, and to build compliance monitoring systems.
The Chief Compliance Officer will report to the CEO of the company.
Role Description: The Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for all BSA/AML Program
functioning.
Responsibilities:
Manage the overall compliance framework for the company
Enhance and maintain the compliance framework through the development and implementation
of comprehensive policies and procedures
Oversee AML, OFAC Sanctions, Suspicious Activity and transaction monitoring program
Work with product, legal and other departments to ensure successful launches of new products
Oversee regulatory examinations and internal and external audits
Manage, lead and develop compliance and risk teams
Oversee a variety of topics from a risk and compliance standpoint
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of relevant compliance and regulatory experience
Strong leadership abilities with team management skills
Desired Skills and Experience:
CAMS certification
Client Series 7, Series 24
Legal background (JD)
Specialized knowledge in blockchain and the cryptocurrency industry
Comfort working in a fast-paced, creative and rapidly growing tech startup
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful with excellent follow-through skills
