SENIOR NETWORK ARCHITECT

Frisco, TX

Direct Hire - Base + Bonus

We are hiring a Senior Network Architect/Engineer with Voice/Unified Communications migration experience for a client in Frisco!

The Senior Network Architect position will perform network engineering tasks in a professional, high-tech, multi-campus environment and be an integral part of the current and future design of our network.

The Senior Network Architect identifies opportunities to apply advances in technology to network(s), infrastructure, and/or applications to enhance operations and meet business requirements.

The Senior Network Architect will rapidly identify and execute real-time actions to achieve return to service, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.

This position requires a CCIE certification.

What You'll Do:

Act as a project lead for the voice/phone migration project

Proactively seek new methods and technologies to maintain network(s), infrastructure, and applications adhering to established guidelines.

Identify needs and implement system monitoring, corrective action, system refreshes, hardware replacements, software upgrades, and application modifications.

Troubleshoots network(s), infrastructure, or application issues, identifies root cause, establishes return to service, evaluates/develops/implements/documents mitigation strategies.

Identifies and proactively seeks opportunities to implement process improvements, documents technical diagrams and procedures.

Designs, analyzes, installs, tests, configures, and administers network(s), infrastructure, and applications as well as providing a full range of testing, administration, and quality checks.

Work closely with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT Staff.

Skills/Experience You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in a related area andor 8+ years in the field or in a related area.

Experience migrating from an older phone system to a new voice solution (Cisco HCS preferred)

CCIE Required

In depth knowledge of firewalls, routing and switching, including HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, load balancing, VLAN, VLAN Trunking, and spanning-tree.

Knowledge of general WAN technologies including MPLS, Frame Relay, SD-WAN.

Experience with Cisco Network ASA firewalls, routers, switches, wireless, and voice.

Working knowledge of Security Tools and concepts. Including IPSec, SSLVPN, Splunk, Cisco
Client and NAC solutions, SDN, scripting tools, including Python, Ansible, etc.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a technically complex and fast-changing environment.

A strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
