Job Description
Our client, a global payments, firm is looking for an AML Officer.
The AML Officer will provide expertise and advice to new product launches and business in international locations.
The AML Officer will:
Design and implement AML program for launching new/existing products in International markets
Develop, implement and maintain robust AML compliance programs to both protect and grow the business in the US and abroad.
Build tactical and scalable solutions to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of customer diligence operations
Define and clearly communicate compliance requirements to internal and external stakeholders internationally and drive implementation of critical initiatives across internal teams
Own key results and communicate progress to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Establish and manage policies and procedures to meet regulatory and audit standards internationally
Monitor regulatory/legal developments in different global markets, assess impacts and provide oversight to ensure they are effectively communicated across the Company
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners (command respect of Product team, etc.)
Requirements
10+ years managing a BSA/AML program
Experience building and leading a team
Superb organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
A strong analytical and metrics driven approach to create substantiated solutions
Experience working closely with or in financial technology, payments, and/or money services businesses
Regulatory/financial services experience (preferably in compliance, risk management and/or audit); startup experience a plus
Strong knowledge in payment regulations and/or scheme rules
Ability to communicate and influence effectively with different groups (i.e. product leaders, broader team, outside regulators and other third parties)
Global mindset; international experience or ability/flexibility/interest to work on international projects
Creative problem solving ability (i.e. launching new products in new markets will need some creativity) and decision making ability (sound judgement)
