Job Description

DATA PROCESSING ENGINEER

Seeking a Data Processing Engineer to join a growing legal organization downtown.

The Data Processing Engineer will perform the data intake, processing, hosting, and production activities necessary to successfully deliver eDiscovery solutions.

The ideal Data Processing Engineer will be highly organized and results-driven and should have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The ideal candidate will have a technology undergraduate degree with interest and experience in electronic discovery technologies and working with large production data sets.

Responsibilities:

Perform data intake, extraction, and processing activities necessary to prepare data for attorney review.

Create, develop, and support document and image databases and related indices.

Prepare document productions.

Conduct quality control evaluations of each process from data receipt to production.

Maintain technical documentation necessary to make the assigned systems operational and efficient.

Handle digital evidence in accordance with established procedures.

Assist with the resolution of any software or hardware issues related to the Litigation support technology applications.

Work effectively as part of a project team.



Requirements:

College degree in Computer Science

1-3 years experience working with data/data processing in a professional setting

Experience with writing SQL queries, joins, and flex statements

Familiarity with relational databases

Experience with data management services (loading images to a network, burning CDs/DVDs, loading data into database applications, conducting database inquiries, and developing reports for project teams).

Customer service oriented

Able to manage multiple projects and work under stressful conditions and time deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Solid understanding of all Microsoft Office applications and operating systems.

Good communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel in a clear manner.

Maintains high quality standards and attention to detail in work product
