IT SUPPORT ANALYST

Seeking an experienced IT Support specialist for a global financial institution.

The IT Support specialist will be part of a small team that handles a variety of issues in a Microsoft/Windows environment.

The majority of responsibilities are local, but remote support is also part of this role.

The ideal IT Support specialist will have a solid technical background as well as an eager attitude, professionalism, and good communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Mastery, assistance and mentoring with core IT duties including but not limited to:

Active Directory Administration – configuration, monitoring, and provisioning

Microsoft Exchange – Server and client configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting

Antivirus – Symantec endpoint protection; server and desktop

Altiris – Image construction, casting, software deployment and reporting

Patch Management – Using Altiris, WSUS, and other tools

Maintain virtual server environments

Broker and Trading Floor Technology Support as needed, i.e. phones, tablet computers, wireless networking, proprietary tools, and data display support

Works well with teammates locally and at remote offices; shares knowledge and is seen as someone to go to for help; contributes in weekly peer meetings

Demonstrates a sense of urgency; takes ownership of problems and follows temporary fixes with permanent solution; finds creative solutions.

Gives clear and accurate in verbal and written communication; listens to peers and supported employees; follows directions and provides useful feedback

Should make a positive impression in person, via phone, and electronically; models a 'can-do' attitude; embraces additional responsibility

Requirements:

College degree in Engineering, MIS, CIS, or related discipline

1+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows desktop/server troubleshooting

Mac and UNIX familiarity

Documents and effectively adheres to IT Analyst responsibilities and repeatable processes

Participates in weekly peer conference calls and documents minutes

Takes initiative to learn and perform IT Analyst core duties

Experience in an exchange, trading facility, or financial services is nice to have.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
