Software Engineer

Infinity Consulting Solutions is looking for a Java Developer for a large financial services client in Newark, Delaware.

You will
:

Perform application build and development work.

Support the businesses from front-to-back offices located around the world together with the global team.

Work on building systems supporting a wide range of complex fixed income and derivative instruments, money market/loan activity, and trading strategies.

Analyze, define, and document business requirements driven by internal (user, business, corporate) or external (markets, regulatory) initiatives, as well as structure, plan, and coordinate developments across multiple systems and regions.

Efficiently design and implement solutions in line with our architectural standards; support testing, conversion, and ensuring accurate source code promotion, tracking and compliance with applicable corporate policies and regulatory standards.

Provide end-user support by supplying product, process and technical solutions to resolve and/or enhance user application functions.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the operating environment to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.

Engage and partner with external software vendor for escalation, tracking, and resolution of application break/fix issues.

Plan and execute software integration and regression testing on application patches, upgrades and enhancements.

Skills needed
:

3+ year of Core Java development experience

Parsing and creating XML with tools including velocity and XPath;

XML and XSLT definitions

IBM Web Sphere MQ/JMS

Relational databases

T-SQL with coding in Shell and Perl

Linux;

Java development; and version control using Subversion (SVN) and GIT
