Job Description

Lead Java Developer

$140,000/year base salary

Chanhassen, MN

Position Overview:

Responsible for delivering the technical design and development of software components for assigned projects.

Understand and help guide the evolution of the system's architecture

20% of their time on management tasks, 40% on technical design and mentoring, 40% on writing code.

Design, code, and test technical solutions with an emphasis on unit testing.

Understand the necessity of coding standards and lead effort to ensure delivery based on the coding standards.

Proactively work with Business Analysts to understand project requirements. Estimate development effort to deliver.

Understand architectural expectations as communicated by the Solution Architect.

Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions.

Position Requirements:

7+ years of experience in the software industry

2+ years of experience using Java / J2EE

2+ years of experience leading or mentoring team members

Experience with as many of the following as possible:

Strong experience with Agile and Scrum

Strong experience with SOAP and REST services

Strong SQL skills including experience with stored procedures

MuleSoft or other similar integration platform

Azure API Management or any other similar API gateway platforms

Azure Service Bus or other similar cloud messaging platform

WebLogic or other similar application server

Java Messaging Service (JMS)

Integration tools & techniques (ESBs, Orchestration, SOA, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, etc.)

Exposure to E-commerce or omni-channel commerce platforms
