Job Description

Infinity Consulting Solutions (ICS) is currently seeking a talented Java / J2EE Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Description:

Proficient in Java J2EE application development skills as well as multiple design techniques.

Working proficiency in Java J2EE development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks.

Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security.

Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages.

Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including

business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software.

Enable Dev teams to build and deploy middleware business service applications from code to test and production environments using the different middleware infrastructures.

Standardize, automate and document setup and deployment to development and production environments, including ITSM coordination.

Own and drive improvements to the build and release scripts, tools, and processes

Help define best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing and release management.

Build and lead POCs for tools for internal use to support DevOps best practices

Bring new automation technologies to improve the velocity and quality of our engineering efforts.

Requirements:

Bash, Powershell, Python, or Perl experience for automation

5+ years of professional IT experience.

3+ years of Java/J2EE Enterprise Web Development.

3+ years experience in DevOps role -supporting developers by providing infrastructure, maintaining CI/CD systems, etc.

Working experience with CI systems such as Jenkins, bamboo, etc.

Experience with build technologies such as Maven and ANT.

Experience with Jira.

Experience in UNIX/Linux and scripting.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Wily and Splunk.

Experience with mainframe, Pivitol Cloud Foundery, Jenkins, Maven, ANT, Chef and Ansible

Experience with Ctrl-M or other job schedulers is a plus.

Experience in agile development practices.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
