Job Description

Our financial client is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer working within a DevOps environment.

You can expect to work with Global stakeholders and help to implement best practices within the MicroStrategy space and maintain the production stability.

Using your exceptional client service skills, you'll be responsible for end to end client support – anything from administering access to monitoring system performance to troubleshooting and escalating issues.

Responsibilities:

Act as the TM1 SME, design and develop solutions using TM1 following a Scrum methodology within the Agile framework.

Work alongside business SMEs and Technical Business Analysts to develop end-to-end TM1 models and prototypes, in accordance with agreed requirements.

Performing regression testing of application and/or functional changes.

Work with the Technical Delivery Lead and Solutions Architect to ensure deliverables conform to architectural, technical, security and data access standards.

Liaison with the other teams regarding system management and delivery issues.

Managing and monitoring application access to ensure security policies are adhered to.

Investigating and providing resolution of application errors reported.

Performing administration & performance tuning

Providing end user training and providing best practice advice.

Preparing architecture documentation using tools such as Visio, Confluence

Skill Requirements:

8-10 years of experience with a strong understanding of foundational concepts of IBM Cognos TM1 – TM1 10.2.x min.

Strong TM1 Development experience. Architected/developed at least two end-to-end TM1 projects.

System and environment management for TM1.

In-depth Knowledge of Cubes design, Turbo Integrator processes, Rules engine and Active Forms & TM1 Web.

Able to work with TM1 REST API.

Experience in TM1 deployment using TM1 web and Excel.

Experience in TM1 capacity planning.

In-depth knowledge of TM1 ETL tool (Turbo Integrator).

Knowledge in Planning analytics – PAX, PAW experience is preferable.

Experience in VBA/SQL Server/Cognos BI is preferable.

Experience in integration with self-service ETL Alteryx, BI Visualization tools Tableau &
Power BI is preferable.

Experience working in Agile Scrums on TM1 projects is preferable.

Ideally, you will have:

A degree qualification – IT / Business / Commerce / Finance.

Experience in banking and financial services industry. Basic understanding of accounting concepts and Finance terminology.

Experience working as part of a global team across multiple countries, cultures, and time-zones.

The ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to priorities despite conflicting requests.

The ability to be self-motivated, be able to work independently as well as being a team player.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Experience in conducting training sessions and presentations.

The ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Prior exposure to delivering enterprise-level business-wide support services.

The ability to pick up new concepts quickly.

Prior experience with other Business Intelligence tools desired but not essential.
