DevOps Engineer
A logistics and data tracking company in Alexandra, VA is looking to hire a strong DevOps engineer to join their growing networks and platforms team.
The ideal candidate will have come from a big data software engineering background and will have experience working with cutting edge technologies and be comfortable with being pushed to learn new technologies.

Required Skills
5+ years experience configuring and maintaining large-scale, 24-7, distributed computing platforms
AWS, OpenStack, Google Compute Engine, or other IaaS platforms including ability to administer private and virtual private clouds
Solid networking of Unix and Linux
Bash, Perl, Ruby, or Python scripting experience required
Experience using infrastructure management and automation technologies such as Ansible,
Chef, Fabric, Puppet, or SaltStack
Experience with git/github, Jenkins/Hudson, Maven, and other build and continuous integration systems
Hands-on ability to build and administer VMs and containers using tools such as Docker, Vagrant, or VMWare
Familiarity with logging and monitoring technologies such as Nagios, Sentry, CloudWatch, Graphite, FluentD, Splunk, GrayLog, and CloudTrail
Proven experience managing multi-node installations of "big data” technologies such as
Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, SOLR, or ElasticSearch
