Job Description

Technical Data Analyst

Greenwood Village, CO

Technical Data Analyst opening in the Denver Tech Center.

This position will be a critical part of the Data team and focused on interfacing between the Functional Data Analyst team and the ETL Developers, Kafka Developers, Microstrategy dev team and the Database dev team.

General Skills & Requirements:

- Proficient level of sql query skills with

- 5 years of experience querying data from various database types (SQL Server most important)

- 5 years of experience working with various enterprise operational, financial, analytical, predictive, metric and KPI reporting. (i.e. Supply Chain, Pricing, HR, Payables, etc.) including BI content, uses, business value, etc.

- Experience working with BI/MDM initiatives and building BI platforms

- Includes experience with data from the various financial processes

- 5 years of experience interfacing with ETL developers with the ability to translate business requirements/needs into Source to Target mappings identifying data transformations needed

- Proven ability to conduct source system analysis identifying data scenarios (data mining, data profiling) and documenting how to ETL specific data scenarios

- Very familiar with various intake/development methodologies with Agile experience preferred experience in independently processing requests through methodologies (gathering approvals, properly documenting, etc.)

- 5 years of experience with BI analytics tools with proven ability to navigate effectively and develop ad hoc reports/analytics based on business needs/value.

- 5 years of experience with various data models/structures and databases

- Experience with various data sourcing techniques identifying what data is needed to meet analytics requirements as well as proficient means for sourcing the data using the proper technical tools
