Job Description
Our client's Finance Technology is responsible for providing technology solutions to various departments in Finance, including Global Product Controllers.
The Detail Subledger (DSL) program is a front-to-back initiative to consolidate accounting information flow and provide major control functions.
It addresses regulatory and audit findings thematically, providing an efficient framework for better control and reporting over time.
DSL Loans is specific project within the broader DSL program to improve the financial controls and financial disclosure reporting on the Loans products.
The Finance Loans team is responsible for development and maintenance of a suite of applications which involve ETL processes, highly flexible and scalable services, and a feature rich Windows UI.
The technology team practices agile development.
Finance Technology is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager & Business Analyst in the Loans team in New York.
The successful candidate will work with multiple stakeholders and IT partner teams across the Firm.
Responsibilities:
The PM is expected to liaise with the different stakeholders, plan the book of work and co-ordinate work efforts across multiple IT teams and ensure successful delivery of the software and user adoption of the new software.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis, planning and delivery skills.
The candidate should have proven experience of delivering significant change into production systems in a financial services organization, of user liaison and co-ordination across many stakeholders both with IT and the business groups.
A key component of the role is the ability to build strong working relationships with partners across the IT stack.
Expertise in any one of the following business domains would be preferable: Accounting, Finance and Control Functions.
Required Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Planning, status reporting and issue tracking.
Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Knowledge of Finance processes, especially P&L and Regulatory Reporting
Desired Skills:
Experience applying Agile practices for software delivery
Understanding of Loans products
Data analysis skills using SQL
