Job Description
We have a client currently looking for a Systems Engineer who has a strong background in back up systems and Disaster Recovery. In addition to being the go to CommVault person someone with Windows and VMware experience is ideal.
Essential Job Functions
:
Serves as the primary engineer for the firm's backup systems. (CommVault)
Installs, operates, and maintains server hardware, operating systems and other essential services and sub-systems including VMware and Windows Operating Systems
Under supervision, performs system modifications, upgrades, and software updates
Monitors servers and services according to scheduled maintenance procedures.
Performs scheduled diagnostics and maintenance.
Creates, modifies and deletes user accounts in accordance with established service level agreements.
Performs security and backup administration. Performs file restorations from backup as needed (CommVault).
Educational and Experience Requirements
:
Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certification preferred.
Must have extensive CommVault backup system experience.
Ability to recognize and take into account impact of problems and decisions on the local office.
Good working knowledge of current technologies.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
