Key Responsibilities
Each day in this position can be different, but some examples of tasks include:
Primary:
Create customized reports for the organization
Quickly identify and correct logic and syntax errors in both a testing and release environment
Write new routines to work with existing databases and business logic
Learn about a business model, understanding key concepts
Develop new GUIs based on new business logic concepts
Secondary:
Develop and maintain complex, multi-leveled classes to expose business layer logic to our application suite
Work on existing GUIs to integrate new features
Be involved in development meetings
Required Personal Skills
Ability to communicate quickly, clearly, and effectively across multiple departments and managerial levels
Ability to collect and organize input from many sources to create a broad-reaching successful execution plan
Ability to work successfully in a strong team environment
Ability to educate, mentor, and lead others
Required Technical Skills
Solid foundation of .NET class architecture, with education/experience developing proprietary classes
Experience developing windows forms using VB.NET
Excellent logical and debugging skills
Understanding of a business (non-consumer) environment, where program speed, clarity and logic take precedence
Ability to absorb, learn, and grow technical knowledge quickly
General understanding of database structures and queries
