Assistant Controller

Dallas, TX

Job Functions

Establish metrics and develop work plans for major projects and programs that meet organization's goals and reporting timelines

Preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, quarterly filings, debt covenants, variance analyses and other applicable reports

Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX, responsibly for GAAP policy research and documentation

Utilize expertise in technical accounting and reporting to develop, implement and maintain accounting standards and accounting control procedures

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred

7-9 years accounting experience, including preparation of advanced financial statements

Preferably 1-2 public accounting experience

Advanced knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting and technical accounting

Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
