PRODUCT MANAGER
Seeking an experienced Product Manager to join a growing professional services organization.
The Product Manager will serve as an entrepreneurial visionary and leader responsible for taking product concepts from ideation to minimum viable product.
You will work with clients to quantify the market need, the business opportunity, probable value proposition, and the development resources (investment) needed to execute the product vision.
The Product Manager will make recommendations based on the analysis whether to invest and the expected return on that investment.
The Product Manager performs this role for a variety of potential products and applies lean-startup methods and data driven approaches to lead the customer development process and develop minimum viable products.
Responsibilities:
Develop minimum viable products and business models against the long-term vision and strategy for the organization through collaboration across functional areas to accomplish target goals.
Using lean-startup methodologies, relentlessly drive ideas to minimum viable products and business models – document, refine, and communicate hypotheses constantly.
Leads functional teams (finance, product development, editorial, marketing, training, certification, etc.) to execute the initial product strategy.
Analyze the voice of the customer, market trends, competition, future requirements, product needs, vendor ecosystem and areas of opportunity for innovation, then utilize the data to execute new product concepts and requirements according to market needs and competitive landscape.
Create the business case and gain internal stakeholder approval for continuing and new product investments
Interface with stakeholders including target market participants, customers, partners, analysts, competitors as well as staff to drive product direction and ensure solutions lead the market in customer loyalty, revenue, adoption and profitability.
Responsible for annual budgets and producing detailed annual operating plan(s) including targets for initial revenues and expenses that are aligned and consistent with company strategy.
Prioritize product and customer requirements refine product vision, work closely with functional teams to oversee and ensure product offerings, meet internal and competitive quality standards.
Provide expertise and visibility for the product suite or portfolio as a spokesperson, conference presenter, press, industry analysts, and other venues (e.g., webinars, sales support)
Budgetary responsibility for meeting time and financial targets for each product development cycle. Develops and track key metrics/KPIs and targets, developing plans to achieve those targets, and proactively communicate progress and provides direction for plan modifications as needed.
Requirements:
BS in Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline from an accredited institution
7+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner
Previous budget responsibility

Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining detailed value proposition hypothesis and models
