Job Description
Core Duties
Build, maintain, and support custom applications in the SharePoint platform
Develop custom features to be used in team sites
Automate maintenance, deployment, and monitoring tasks within the SharePoint platform
Integrate external data from other applications/platforms into SharePoint
Communicate with internal customers in non-technical terms, understand business requirements, and propose solutions
Work on projects from specification gathering, to development, to QA, user acceptance testing, and deployment to production
Participate in meetings and organize work and/or training sessions around new software being introduced into the company's technology environment

Takes initiative to continually learn and enhance technical knowledge and skills
Required Skills and Experience
BS degree preferably in CS or EE, or a related discipline
5 yr. of experience doing professional software development in SharePoint
A deep knowledge of: JavaScript, web design, server-side programming, data structures,
HTML, CSS, Ajax methodology
Experience with the SharePoint framework
Experience developing content and functionality in an on-prem SharePoint environment
Experience with SharePoint 2013 or SharePoint 2016
Deep familiarity with SharePoint web services/APIs
Strong scripting skills preferably including PowerShell
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and work independently on multiple projects
Minimal travel: 2-3 weeks per year
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience with npm, Yeoman, webpack, gulp
Experience setting up, customizing, interacting with Search Centers in SharePoint
Experience using web services to integrate external data into SharePoint sites, workflows, and web parts
Experience with Web Services / Web APIs: SOAP, REST, XML, JSON
Familiarity with Web Application Architecture (HTTP, Client/Server, HTML, JavaScript)
