This role provides the opportunity to be part of our Agile team that works on the Wealth Management Connect platform for the line of business.

We are enhancing current data strategy in Morcom to support the future Connect platform.
This entails sourcing data from across the firm into the corresponding repositories, reconcile the data to the authoritative sources, make adjustments for data gaps, storage and distribution of the data.

The team deals with large volumes of data with databases in both relational database products and big data.

The tech stack is primarily Java/J2EE, Abinitio / Informatica, Databases (Oracle, Sybase), Reporting (Business Objects, Tableau), Hadoop etc..

A major multi-year initiative is started to build common frameworks and applications to support data convergence across line of business.

This role will require participation at all stages of the project life cycle from requirements gathering to implementation.

This role will be focused on architecting, design and development of strategic data.

The team is a cross-functional team responsible for the Data Strategy for line of business within Wealth Management.

While each team member has a primary skill set, they are also expected to learn and contribute to areas outside of their primary skill set.

The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication.

Qualifications

Essential

Strong database development and management back ground and skill on both relational (Sybase, Oracle etc) and unstructured databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, NOSQL) data modeling and cloud based data solutions is a plus.

Solid understanding and hands on experience with TIBCO Data Virtualization platform (Composite software) is a plus.

Good understanding on GemFire cache and web services is a plus

Strong knowledge of ETL tool and batch process required, and any real time data process experience is a plus.

Experience with automation platform, Autosys, control-M, etc. and related scripting language, such as JIL. Perl, etc.

Strong exposure to Data Management, Governance, and Controls with a proven track record of defining and implementing.

Ability to turn strategies into roadmaps with discreet milestones to drive and track adoption and implementation

Working side by side with the business and development teams to develop data domain strategies and conceptual and logical data models.

Support and integrate data practices into various methodologies such as Agile, Domain
Driven Design, Microservices, and Event Driven Architectures.

Exposure on shell scripting, knowledge on UNIX environments and skills to analyze and debug complex shell scripts is desirable for the role.

Identify and govern appropriate data sourcing, data lineage, and metadata.

Working exposure on data integration and handling projects that involves processing huge volume of data will be added advantage

Expertise in working with Agile projects and exposure to automated testing / dev ops kind of environments.

Very strong analytical skills and good knowledge in SQL with ability to gain expertise in new technologies.

Experience with solutions over the full data lifecycle including data capture, quality, security, archiving, and records retention.

Manage competing priorities, multiple work streams, meet deadlines.

Experience in defining and implementing data transformation logic is a plus.

Ability to work independently and own deliverables from inception to delivery.

Ability to build strong relationships with developers and stakeholders to ensure
successful project/program delivery

Desirable (but not essential)

Working exposure using Tomcat & Weblogic.

Working exposure using Apache Spark, Kafka, HBase, Hive, Sqoop and Scala will be an added advantage

Experience and understanding of data technologies and patterns for cloud environments including both public and private cloud deployments

Experience with Micro Services, Service Orientated Architectures
MQ/JMS

Jenkins/ AIM Continuous integration/Deployment practices

Sufficient knowledge on AM portfolio management system.
