Job Description

Overview

Our client is seeking a Help Desk Administrator who will take full ownership of all aspects of office IT operations and internal computing projects.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical support services including setup, configuration, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrades of all corporate IT systems.

Provision and maintain workstations (mostly MacBooks and Mac Minis) for staff and provide macOS support.

Provide support for video-conferencing and VoIP equipped conference rooms and collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve video-conferencing issues.

Maintain company’s IT assets, managing inventory of all computing hardware and software licenses.

Troubleshoot and resolve WiFi (WLAN) hardware and software problems in a timely manner

Manage user accounts and provide support for G Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, etc..), Slack, Confluence, Jira and Bitbucket.

Maintain our internal Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket Server) including performing software updates and security patches.

Ensure the availability and reliability of core network services, including switching, routing, DNS, DHCP, IPsec tunnels and remote access OpenVPN.

Administer and maintain MS Active Directory domains, including users, groups, sites and services.

Office 365 License and user management

Setup VPN accounts and provide connectivity support for end-users

Manage backup systems and ensure data integrity via routine test restores.

Onboarding / Offboarding of employees and contractors

Maintain network printers and provide daily support for all print-related issues

Coordinate with senior infrastructure and network engineers to resolve complex problems

Perform other IT administration tasks as needed.

Support internal teams, work closely with the engineering team facilitating resource access such as AWS and Google Cloud as needed.

Requirements

1-3 years of related IT work experience

We are mostly an Apple shop, so a solid experience managing Apple hardware and macOS is needed

Good understanding of core network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP

Working knowledge of enterprise switching and routing

Working knowledge of enterprise wireless networks.

Basic Active Directory management experience

Nice To Have

Jira Helpdesk experience

Experience with the JAMF or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools

You have used pfSense to provide network services

Linux/Unix administration experience

AWS and Google Cloud experience
