Application Developer

$110,000 - $120,000/year base salary

Plano, TX

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Application Developer to join a growing team! In this role you will work collaboratively within a global team, developing software in an Agile environment.

Members of this team are all hands-on, have a strong background in high performance web applications and have end-to-end responsibility for their products including conceptualizing and executing design, development, test automation and operational management.

You will be responsible for the implementation and management of our next generation API services.

This role includes collaboration with the development team on the API specifications, implementation of the new APIs, establishing a Python-based unit test framework and automation of the unit tests associated with the APIs.

Position Requirements:

A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

5+ years of IT experience with Python software development in a Linux environment

Solid knowledge of Python unit and integration testing methodologies and the ability to write, debug and deploy testing frameworks

A track record of building, deploying and maintaining production web and API service applications built with Python

Expertise with XML APIs, Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture

SQL language skills

Rest API design and implementation

Experience with Agile Development processes

Django MVC framework expertise

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

The ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts to non-
technical individuals

Experience with internationalization of web sites and payment processing is preferred, but not required

Experience with mobile development a plus
