Job Summary

The Senior Developer in the Business Systems team is responsible for supporting the strategic design and maintenance of corporate business applications.

This position is responsible for developing and deploying custom applications as well as contributing to overall software development lifecycle improvements that will allow company to continue to scale for the future.

Main Responsibilities

Work in all 3 tiers of the system: UI, business logic and data layers - leveraging
ASP.Net, VB.Net, HTML5, JavaScript, C#, Angular, SQL database, JQuery, Typescript and other technologies.

Work both collaboratively and independently on architecture, design, and implementation.
Work with QA engineers to verify deliverables based on user stories, acceptance criteria, and participate in the creation of automated testing efforts.

Proactively interacts with management and business analysts in review and design of new concepts and ideas, project implementation, and problem resolution.

Ability to integrate third party tools within a Visual Studio Environment to assist in development of internal applications and engage third party vendors in problem resolution and enhancements.

Participate in peer code reviews, adhere to coding standards and best practices.

Experience Required

5+ years' experience developing .NET framework and C# and VB.NET applications.

5+ years' experience working with MVC and ASP.NET.

2+ years' experience developing with Angular and Typescript.

Experienced in programming to SQL databases (experience with MS SQL server 2012 and above, required).

Experienced in implementing Microsoft WCF services, Windows services, and Web API. Strong working knowledge of implementing RESTful services and working with internet protocols such as JSON, XML, SOAP & HTML.

Strong object-oriented design skills with proven track record of well-engineered design.

Excellent written and verbal communications, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact and communicate successfully with business partners and development teams.

Strong analytical and estimation skills with the ability to quickly debug system problems and provide short & long term solutions.

Experienced in one or more enterprise-grade source control repositories such as Microsoft
Team Foundation Server, Git or Subversion.

Experience with Agile Development Methodologies and object oriented design techniques and principles.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience demonstrating advanced level of enterprise software development expertise.
