SUMMARY:

The Security Analyst is directly responsible delivering on the portfolio of security initiatives, leading annual penetration test and planning remediation, developing processes and procedures to maintain resiliency and availability for our systems and data, ensuring changes conform to security standards, and leading incident response activities.

The Security Analyst will define, monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate security-related concerns on systems, applications and networking equipment.

This position also monitors, analyzes and leads the planning activities to ensure adequate commissioning and decommissioning of all equipment on the network.

An understanding of incidence response, incident handling and compensating physical, technical and administrative controls is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor security systems reports and provide analysis and remediation for anomalous network and system activity; Provide metrics and show how those numbers are being driven down.

Create technically detailed reports based on attempted intrusions and events.

Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise with tools and processes used in security incident detection and handling.

Recommend modifications to systems and software to ensure alignment with organizational risk tolerance.

Evaluate threats, vulnerabilities and risks while supporting real-time security monitoring operations.

Develop and implement processes and procedures and make recommendations for security policy improvements.

Review all network hardware, systems, software, and facilities security design during planning, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

Lead the planning, design and implementation of the preventive, detective and corrective controls to support monitoring, problem identification, data analysis, and resolution for security related incidents.

Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise with Enterprise network monitoring and vulnerability management systems.

Effectively advise and collaborate with all team members (technical and non-technical) using excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Manage security awareness training and corporate compliance reviews for ISO27001 and ISO9001.

Manage and reduce vulnerabilities to be to an acceptable level of risk.

Direct and/or work with third party vendors for annual external assessments, security reviews and audits

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Major security certification is desirable

Experience with CI/CD, Test-driven development and continuous improvement is desirable

Experience with Agile and Lean is desirable

Cloud technology and architecture experience is desirable

Self-motivated with outstanding organization and attention to detail

Proven experience achieving measurable outcomes

Experience working with teams in different time zones and coordinating duties to coincide with global operation schedules

Working knowledge of Enterprise LAN/WAN network architecture, TCP/IP, protocols, and best practices

Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Must have the ability to work well as a collaborative team member to achieve team goals

Excellent interpersonal and team skills
