Compliance Analyst

Overview

Supports management in the day-to-day efforts related to the Bank's compliance management program.

Tasks include assessing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring Bank loan and deposit compliance with federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and related policies.

Responsibilities

Working knowledge of various deposit regulations such as Reg. CC Expedited Funds
Availability Act, Reg. E Electronic Fund Transfer Act, and TISA Truth in Savings.

Working knowledge of various lending regulations such as ECOA Equal Credit Opportunity Act, TRID TILA/RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule, and HMDA Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.

Performs research, analyzes relevant compliance-related information and makes recommendations on necessary procedural/control changes on more complex compliance matters.

Responsibilities may include verifying practices against policies, preparing management reports, counseling business personnel on compliance with policies and providing advice to entry-level employees.

Implements internal control strategies, ensuring all systems and procedures are in compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Creates, reviews, and updates compliance policies and procedures.

Researches and responds to government, legal, and official inquiries

Assists in the preparation of regulatory and internal audits; initiates and monitors required modifications to procedures as required.

Completes all required forms and paperwork; prepares all necessary reports.

Maintains current knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Assists with Policy Management.

Assists with Vendor Management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent.

Three to five years related experience or equivalent.

Strong background in the design of compliance programs.

Commitment to excellence and high standards.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
with enthusiasm.
