DEVOPS AUTOMATION DIRECTOR

PLANO, TX

POSITION:

ICS is hiring for a Devops Automation Director who will be a hands on leader; responsible for for building a top notch team with continuous integration, testing and delivery of the organization’s platforms and code.

You will provide leadership and direction for a specific Quality "practice including but not limited to Software Development Testing, Metrics and Tracking, and Processes and Tools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of business, technology and process skills and knowledge; as well as the ability to build and lead an equally strong team of agile experts to drive the enterprise.

The position is a highly visible role in the organization and will need to be comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced innovative environment operating with senior executives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deeply Technical Hands on Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure and APIs

Leadership, business insight, and an ability to lead and operate at both a micro and macro level

Development and operation of CI/CD pipelines and implementation of infrastructure as code

Automation of release train pipelines and environments across a multitude of development teams and technology stacks

Passionate about the internal customer and developer experience, problem solving, automation and innovation

Experience operating a fast paced, SaaS service with 24x7 availability requirements

Knowledge of Network Protocols, Operating Systems, Server Administration, Storage, etc

REQUIREMENTS:

10+ years of experience in a hands-on IT and/or Development operations or engineering role in an Agile environment

5+ years of leading and managing a development or engineering team

Experience writing unit, integration and end-to-end tests.

Strong experience with NoSQL and relational databases such as Elasticsearch, Couchbase and PostgreSQL.

Experience with Operations tools and automations

Experience with continuous integration tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins

Experience with version control and code repository tools such as GitLab, GitHub,
Subversion, TFS, etc.

Understanding and expertise with source code branches, create, delete, merge and create pull requests

Proven experience engaging directly with customers to evangelize company solutions, identify customer opportunity and collaboratively solve problems by using company resources and technology.

Experience in creating, maintaining, and communication Product Road Maps.

Demonstrated success defining, launching, and growing excellent products in new and established markets.

Experience working with a technology group in large, complex product development.

Excellent communication skills. Excellent presentation skills.

Bachelor’s degree. MBA preferred, or equivalent education and/or experience maybe substituted for minimum education requirement.
