Job Description

We are currently working with a very well-respected family company in the Real Estate industry that has a need for a Controller.

The right candidate will be a CPA with former public accounting experience and experience in the Real Estate industry.

Position Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.

Perform weekly and monthly financial and operational reviews of various reports

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

Assists in tax related preparation, filing and compliance

Participate in audits

Works closely with members of the accounting department and other departmental functions

Completes special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

5 to 10 years relevant industry experience

Three years accounting experience with public accounting a must.

Master Degree in Accounting or Finance or with CPA designation.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and knowledge/understanding of manufacturing standard cost applications a plus.

High level of proficiency in computer applications specifically Microsoft Word, Excel to include Pivot Table and PowerPivot.
