Responsibilities Perform workpaper reviews supporting property-level and joint-venture financial statements prepared by property accountants. Review of annual budgets for assigned properties. Work with Asset Management to determine proper accounting treatment for complex acquisitions and for joint venture formation. Manage monthly financial statement closing and reporting process. Duties related to monthly reporting. Oversee the maintenance, review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement general ledger accounts for assigned properties. Prepare fixed asset and depreciation schedules; reconcile to general ledger. Manage daily cash management and treasury functions for assigned entities Qualifications At least 5 + years real estate accounting experience. Public accounting experience strongly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA strongly preferred. Knowledge of private fund, GAAP and tax accounting. Ability to communicate succinctly and anticipate and resolve issues/problems on a proactive basis.
