Fraud and Risk Specialist

Objective:

As the Fraud and Risk Specialist, you will minimize potential losses by monitoring fraud trends, analyzing transaction patterns and continually evaluating and updating our fraud and risk procedures.

Duties:

Analyze transaction patterns and respond quickly to high-risk situations.

Identify changing fraud trends, document and report in a timely manner to reduce losses.

Verify account activity and take appropriate action to minimize potential losses and customer inconvenience.

Resolve card fraud and dispute cases through communication with team members, chargebacks, documentation and monitoring progress of cases to completion.

Collect, analyze and summarize information to make decisions about potential fraudulent activity.

Develop processes and procedures surrounding disputes, fraud, chargebacks and settlement from beginning till end.

Reconcile bank adjustment activities and creating an ongoing reconciliation process.

Review and monitor internal users’ activities on our processors platforms.

Create and manage the overdraw accounts process with making necessary decisions for chargebacks rights.

Provide support if needed to Field Investigators.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Experience:

At least three year of experience in a MSB or similar Fraud position

Skills:

Strong understanding of card transactions, fraud trends and best practices

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems

Self-motivated individual who can be successful in a fast-paced environment

Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning all information and projects

Intermediate proficiency in and knowledge of business computer software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
