Job Description - Laptop/PC Refresh Technician

Professional Skills

Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.

Efficient Response Time to phone, emails, texts and deliverables etc.

Must have own transportation to move between multiple sites within close proximity

Organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Problem solving and troubleshooting methodology skills

Technical leadership and ability to lead tasks and phases and be self-sufficient in the field.

Tools Required

Smartphone with IOS or Android for ticketing system application with 2MP+ Camera (iphone6 has a 8MP camera as reference) with sufficient storage on device to accommodate up to 50 photos.

Basic hand tools (i.e. screwdrivers both + and -, cutting tools like
side cutters)

Qualifications of a Desktop Support Specialist

Excellent communication skills

Experience with Operating systems, Hardware and software configurations

Great support attitude

Good Team player and great interpersonal skills

Problem solving skills

Multi-tasking is a very important skill for this job

Experience working in Windows

Good knowledge of MS-office

Experience in responding to ticket based support system

Organization and detail oriented

Works with both internal and external users to understand requirements and needs

Executes requirements through application of best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability and compliance

Strong ability to follow process, installation guidelines and comprehension of decencies in network roll out/network change protocols

Experience with technology change management

Maintain and neat and orderly work environment and clean up any and all debris and packaging at end of shift.

Primary duty is to provide excellent customer/ client experience, the support should be immediate and precise on all technical issues.

Duties and Responsibilities.

Must be able to execute physical decommission and physical installation of desktops, peripherals, monitors, monitor arms, printersPC,

Must have an understanding of how to setup a workstation-PC, docking station, monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, etc.

The lead technician must QA all work performed by all technicians.

Must be able to install applications on client environment, troubleshoot the issues, taking backups of the data in the hardisk and make necessary upgrades to the system.

Provides support for other end users in the organization, ability to work and resolve hardware problems.

Ability to respond to queries in a quick manner that results in great user experience

Must be familiar with video connectors (VGA, VMI, DMI, and HDMI) and connecting them to
PCs, docking stations and monitors.

Must be able to cleanly manage cables.

Responsibilities

Response rate is the important and primary responsibility of a Desktop Support
Specialist, issues must be attended in a good manner.

Basic ability to troubleshoot TCP / IP networking issues.

Make sure the PC’s/ Laptop’s function properly, take measures to avoid downtime and
monitor to keep things smoothly

Maintaining and creating a document management system to protect and restore the data.
