Job Description - Database Management/Modeler

Data Modeler/Management

ICS is conducting a search for a Data Modeler to work with a large financial client in Wilmington, DE, Columbus, OH, or Plano, TX.

Job Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and building data warehouses (near real time and batch)

Well versed with industry popular Kimball and common practices

Expert in data management best practices with creative problem-solving techniques for data solutions in a large and complex environment and ability to conduct tollgates

5+ years or more hands-on-experience with Data modeling tool such as (but not limited to)
Erwin and expert in creating Logical, Physical and Conceptual data models

Expert development, analysis, profiling, and design skills in database technologies such as Teradata, Oracle, Exadata, HIVE and Impala

At least 2 years of experience in metadata management working with Metadata Repository tool and Collaborate with Metadata partners to export model metadata and ensure attribute lineage

2+ of experience in Data Taxonomy and Classification and ability to work with Data
Stewards to make sure data is defined and classified correctly such as PII (Personally
Identifiable Information)

Experience working in Agile methodology and facilitating sessions with data warehousing partners including business, BA (Business Analyst), BI (Business Intelligence), SOR SMEs (System of Record Subject Matter Experts) and ETL (Extract, Load, and Transform)
developers to assess business requirements and deliver design prototypes

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Functional knowledge/experience in financial services is a plus

Big Data development and design for distributed and scalable file system such as HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) is a plus

Exposure to data wrangling on Trifacta and cube designing on AtScale is preferred

Data designing experience on Cassandra for near real time analytics is preferred
